So many of my clients make their decisions with their head. They analyze, consider all angles, step back, think again, test the waters…and then, perhaps make a choice. They get so caught up in looking at all possibilities that they become tangled up in the analysis.
This is a great skill to have if you’re working on your taxes—not so great if you are dealing with who you are in the world, or who you are becoming.
Why is it that we so often disregard what our hearts are telling us? Perhaps in our rush-rush-rush, too-many-things-on-our-plate lives, we simply don’t allow ourselves the “luxury” of stopping and tuning in to our heartstrings.
Or maybe it’s the interference of other’s expectations in our heads that drown out the steady beating of truth and wisdom in our hearts.
Our Inner Critic lives in our heads. Should-a, could-a, and would-a thrive there, too. Memories of things gone awry, life’s scrapes and bruises, and fear, along with its partner in crime, feeling stuck, find our heads a very comfortable residence.
Ah, but our hearts…
Our hearts know what we really want and need, and who we truly are at our core. Our most authentic selves lie firmly and deeply rooted within our hearts. We are being called home.
Isn’t it time to really listen to the unique messages our hearts safeguard for us?
Your heart is full of fertile seeds, waiting to sprout.
